A present that works a charm!

This afternoon, I handed this gorgeous bracelet over to its new owner.  It was hard to let it go, as I have grown to love it as I worked on it but I am sure that the grandmother who is about to receive it for her birthday will cherish it as well!  The empty frame is for a baby-to-be who’s photo will take pride of place in this bracelet in June!

What’s new for 2009!

 

 

I am really looking forward to this year.  I have so many ideas for gorgeous jewellery for your little cupcakes.  To start the year off, I have just finished these fun and fabulous headbands.

Fun and Fabulous pink button headband

These fun headbands are made with a shiny pink button and finished with a sparkly swarovski crystal.  The headbands are covered in fabric and are really comfortable to wear!   The headbands are just $8.00 in the cupcakes store and there are tonnes to choose from!

I love using buttons at the moment.  I think they are really fun and pretty.  I have  used tiny covered buttons in these great rings and hairclips

Happy Silly Season!

Well, I have just had a wonderful time making lots of gorgeous pieces for little cupcakes to open on Christmas morning.  It has been so much fun designing these special pieces and is such a privilege to be able to make something for your special children.

The last of the packages have been despatched so I finally have some time to post some photo’s of my latest pieces.

 

A princess for a princess.  This one was for a gorgeous little girl who loved pink and purple.

 

Everyone loves cupcakes and these colourful cupcakes are always so popular.  This one is a gorgeous cupcake necklace with matching round beads.   So yummy!

 

Makayla loves pink, purple and fairies, so here is a bracelet just for her.   She also got a matching necklace!

 

These little peas are for a special set of twins!

Lastly, it doesn’t get more special than this.  This gorgeous glass pendant was made for a special mum.  Now she can keep her two beautiful children with her always.

Off to the market again

It’s busy busy busy here because Cupcakes Jewellery will be at the heritage craft market on Sunday, 6th October.  I love this market because it is all handmade and handcrafted products.  I seem to always manage to spend my profits on everyone elses gorgeous things.

From one mum to another.

I just love to work with other mums in business.   At Cupcakes we are always on the lookout for interesting, original pieces we can use in our jewellery, especially those made from other mums working from home.  I fell in love with these little wooden pendants and brooches that come all the way from Suffolk in England.

 

I have matched the little wooden pendants with lots of swarovski crystals and catseye beads.  They are then finished on pretty satin ribbon and include an extention chain.

There’s a bluebird on my shoulder.

Well, not quite on my shoulder, but certainly hanging around my neck!  I can’t wait until Spring to show you these gorgeous little Blue Bird pendants.   I just love everything to do with birds, and these ones bring such a happy feeling.

 

 

This little bluebird is made from glass and he is sitting on a little silvertoned nest.  The pendant includes a silvertoned chain and is available for just $12.00 from the cupcake shop.

It’s a good hair day!

I love how a gorgeous little hair clip can totally transform a little girl from a wild child to sweet and innocent!

This gorgeous rose feels a bit vintage.  It is made from polymer clay and features a pale pink centre.

 

This little pair of matching roses and just perfect for spring.  Made from polymer clay they would also match perfectly with the big vintage inspired Rose clip.

 

These initial pins are made to order.  Wear one or wear more and you’ll never call her by the wrong name again!

I love hair combs.  They can be worn so many different ways.  If you little girl has fine hair, just pull it back into a pony tail and pop this one in the side.  This one is made from swarovski crystal sliders and is wire wrapped for strength.

It’s a cupcake party!

I just love these little party princesses!  They are so fun.  It’s just like wearing a little friend.

This little party princess is called “Zoe”.  Zoe has gorgeous blonde hair and just loves to dance!

The second little party princess is “Sarah”.

Sarah is the sweetest little girl around.  She has a beautiful smile and is great at giving cuddles.
